About Ben Barger

Benjamin “Ben” Barger is a world-class sailor, professional athlete and the current representative on the Olympic Team for the 2008 Olympic Games.  He was the previous alternate in the 2004 Olympics and just out of the medals as a member of the 2007 Pan American Team.  He has worked over 12 years toward his goal: Going for the Gold Medal at the summer 2008 Olympic Games as a member of the historic US Olympic Sailing Team.  The international media, including CNN, FoxNews and Eurosport, has spotlighted Ben as an athlete to watch in 2008.  He holds 5 national titles to his name, including the first-place and gold recipient of the 2008 Olympic Team Trials.  He has placed among the top ten in the international competitive stage and is in medal-sight for the 2008 Olympics.

Using his sailing skills, Ben also does marketing consultancy for many different nutritional companies and Sailing organizations. He currently is Vice-Chair of the ISAF athletes commision.
