More on the French Regatta

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet lately, been doing lots of traveling and many regattas back to back.  So on to more infos on the update.  The french regatta, also known as the hyeres Semaine olympique Francaise was the third regatta of the season.  After narrowly missing the podium in the last regatta in Italy I was hungry again for a personal best.  Which I did have, except the first day.  That day it was windy sometimes gusting to 30 knots, and I got worked pretty bad, and had to dig out, which happened the next few days.  I had multiple top tens but nothing enough to get me back close to the very front.  I had to settle with finishing in the 20′s which wasn’t ideal, but nonetheless had to accept.  The light wind days though, I was fast, much faster than last year, and that’s the logical priority since china will be predominantly light air.  This regatta definitely built my confidence where it counts, and look forward to the next few regattas and fixing my weakness’s while continuing to get stronger.Â
