And we are off!

Well..just made it to terminal at Tampa airport.  It was exciting as usual at the baggage terminal.  We luckily got a nice guy behind the counter, although he first gave us the ringer of $500 for my excess baggage (aka big windsurfer) after speaking to his understanding supervisor we were able to haggle down to $300.  It was a classic man against the airlines conversation, with luckily some niceness paid off with a $200 savings.  Although..we just found out our flight is delayed, we have a 5 hour layover in JFK.  I’ve never packed so many things along our trip, maybe because of my wife’s extra “bags”.  Soon we’ll be in Berlin reunited with Anja’s parents and then I’ll be jumping on the bike for a wake up exercise with my Dad ‘inlaw.  I really can’t wait to be back in Europe and soon picking up our motorhome for the long journey down to our first event in Spain.
